Upcoming 2020 events:

  • May 30, 2020 10 AM SATURDAY - Memorial Day program at Lakeview Cemetery; if it rains it will be cancelled.  Please wear masks and social distance.  No refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

  • TBA, delayed till when the UP Region 8 reaches Level 6 - 2020 12-5 PM, Michigamme Museum opens daily through September 30.  You will be required to wear a mask and not enter if you are sick.  The museum will have hand sanitizer and will institute protocols that the state requires when opening.  Free admission, donations accepted.  906-323-9016 Museum phone.
  • August 6 thru Sept 7th (Labor day) - Second Chance Sale (fundraiser for Museum) at the Community Building Gym.  Masks are required to enter.  Open as follows:
      • Thursdays - 10 am to 2 pm
      • Fridays - 9 am to 2 pm
      • Saturdays - 9 am to 3 pm
      • Sundays - 10 am to 3 pm
      • Monday, September 7th (Labor Day)- 10 am to 3 pm

  • August 29, 2020 4-7 PM - Community Pig Roast at the Michigamme Community Building (fundraiser for July 4 Fireworks).  It will be available as TAKE OUT ONLY.  Contact Lisa or Dan Swiedal or other committee members for tickets (323-6141).  Tickets are $10 per person and will also be available at the Township Office.

  • September 13, 2020 10 AM to 4 PM Rain or Shine! - Artisans Market at the Michigamme Library.
  • CANCELLED - October 6, 2020 4-6:30 PM - National Night Out - Michigamme Park Pavilion
  • CANCELLED - October 24, 2020 - Halloween Party, at the Community Building Gym, 1:30 PM doors open, 2:00 PM costume judging; Games, Raffles, Refreshments served, All ages welcome!

  • December 21 2020 6-7 pm Drive by Santa - Community Building Barnum Street - candy bags distributed

Please note: The rustic campground will be open June 1st through September 30th.  Portable toilets will be available until October 9th.  As of the July 13, 2020 Board meeting the campground fee is now $15 per night.  A $30 cleaning fee will be billed to you if the site is not left in proper order upon Township inspection.  The sites are rented on a first come, first serve basis.  No reservations.  You may stay a maximum of 15 nights.  Please deposit the camping rental fee with the application in the drop box outside the office door if the office is closed.  Make sure you make a duplicate application for yourself for your vehicle windshield.  Check out time is noon the next morning from your paid night.  If you stay at the site for the day, you must pay another $15 and notify the office.
